CONSTRUCTION OF THE KIBAYA NURSERY SCHOOL
The project to rebuild the Kibaya Nursery School was born following a collaboration between our Association and a group of Italian boys who are part of Missioni Onlus, an association that is very active in carrying out projects in the southern hemisphere. It was a very interesting meeting, which immediately materialized in their desire to go to Rwanda to build the first classroom of that School, which looked like a dilapidated hovel! This is how the adventure of these young people began last summer (2022), a good 45!!, after mobilizing to find the necessary funds, left for Kibaya and spent their summer holidays there, working on the construction of that classroom. They finished it and are now already working to find new funds that will allow them to finish the project. The ultimate goal is, in fact, to build 3 classrooms, thus completing the entire school cycle for children aged 3 to 5 years. Needless to say how important this intervention is in a rural and very poor context like that of Kibaya and with what enthusiasm it was welcomed by the children’s families!!
Their next mission is scheduled for August 2023 and there would already be 100 of them ready to go!!
